Thunchatacharya vidyalayam crystallized in the year 1994 has since carved a niche for itself as one of the leading schools in North Malabar. The school functions under Thunchathacharya Educational and Charitable Trust, a registered society with eminent educationists and luminaries from various fields. A school with blend of values, tradition, technology and quest for excellence. TAV stands committed to imparting quality education for the holistic development of the children. The impressive school building located in a serene green location comprises science laboratories ,computer labs, audio-visual lecture rooms, library, an open auditorium, a book shop and school canteen. It prepares students for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the Central board of Secondary Education.
Keeping in view the ideals of democracy and our ancient culture , Thunchathacharya vidyalayam strives to provide a system of education most suited to the needs of our present society. Stress on diverse methods of teaching for different categories of students, opportunities for shouldering responsibilities in school life, constant participation in games and sports, a wide range of culture al and co-curricular activities lend meaning to our school life. Every child is provided with opportunities to identify and to cultivate his or her aptitudes. Life skill training programmes , career counselling and guidance, personality development and inter personal skill developments are part of the curriculum and experts in the various fields are invited periodically to address and guide the students. Thus, the end product is the harmonious, all round developed personality of our students poised on the threshold of life.
