THUNCHATHACHARYA ANNUAL SPORTS REPORT 2019-20

“TO BE A GREAT CHAMPION , YOU MUST BELIEVE YOU ARE THE BEST . IF YOU ARE NOT , KEEP ON TRYING.”

Physical education in school is essential to the development of motor skills and the enhancement of reflexes. Hand – eye coordination is improved as well as good body movements, which helps in the development of a healthy body posture. Physical education teaches students the importance of physical health.
In the light of growing inactivity among children, we take students’ exercise seriously and encourage our boys and girls to participate in games, sports and exercise programs. We believe that sports and games encompass more than just the benefit of physical activity. The school has many facilities to encourage students to participate in different games and sports. Not only does it empower the youth, promote higher self – esteem and increase mental alertness.
Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the live ahead. Sports, Games and Physical Fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. Our students actively participated in different sports competitions and worn medals, certificates and trophies.

Participated in Sahodaya Chess Competition .
We hosted Badminton Competition of Sahodaya at Koothuparamba Indoor Stadium .
Participated in Sahodaya Swimming Competition.
Won Second Prize in Sports Quiz conducted by Sahodaya School Competition held at PES Vidyalaya, Payannur. Annex Unni, Abhiram. G. Nair of XI Science and Rishi. M.Pratheeshan of XII Science were the participants.
Participated in Reliance under 19 Football Tournament held at Manna. We entered Quarter Finals but lost in penalty shoot out.
Participated in Sahodaya Football under 14 Tournament.
Participated in Sahodaya Athletics Meet, we participated in all category under 12,14,17 and under 19, for the first time our school secured 3rd prize in 800 metres running race, and all our participants gave their best performance in the meet.
Participated in Sahodaya Football under 19 Tournament.
Participated in Sahodaya Table Tennis Tournament.
We organized Ritwik Harshan Memorial Ever rolling Trophy in our school campus. Students of X B won the tournament and XI Science are Runner up.
Participated in Sahodaya under 17 Football Tournament held at Mayyil and we entered Semi Finals and lost in sudden-death.
